Foley effects: Foley is a type of sound effect that is named after a specific sound artist called Jack Foley. Essentially the Foley sound effect is a reproduction of everyday sound effects that are then used and put into films. Majority of the time this is used would be in the post production stage of a media product. It is used to enhance audio quality and the sounds can vary from anything that may occur during everyday life such as footsteps, typing and other sounds such as glass breaking so things that may naturally happen in an ordinary day of life.

Wild tracks: Wild tracks is an audio which is recorded with the intentions to be synchronized with a certain scene in a film or video but is recorded separately. Another term for wild track is wild sound and these can be things such as going out to the beach and capturing the sounds of the sea as the tide comes in or even going out in a storm to record the thunder and these are used in films to enhance the quality of the atmosphere and what is going on around the characters. The capturing can be available to watch as a video here and what these sound developers do is go to an established area and capture the sound of a lion roaring live.
Theme music for title sequence: A title sequence also called an opening sequence or an intro is the method used in film and television programmes to present the show and accompanied alongside the tile of the show will be things such as the cast members, developers and people who are relevant to the show such as people who filmed or made it. The music used in the tile sequence is their to give a better understanding as to what they are watching as the audience can dictate the seriousness of the show and make predictions as to what the mood of the show may be. If we take the Simpsons theme for example we can see that at the start when the music plays we hear a women say " The Simpsons" which is then followed by mysterious and alluring music as an action montage proceeds which shows everyone in the family and what they are doing currently as the intro is going on.
Incidental music: Is used film or play as a background to create or enhance a particular atmosphere it can be used to make an event even more engaging to watch. The reason this works so well in film is because it shows just how serious the scene can be even if we as the audience are thinking of it in a different way. For example in this scene we can make an assumption that these people have just robbed someone or something and are transferring cars in order to ensure safety and that no one is going to know what car they drive and the music is played to show how they are in the heat of the moment and are trying to escape quickly hence why the fast paced music is playing.
Voice overs: Voice overs which are also known as voice acting is the art of providing voices to represent a character be it in a film, television and radio drama or to provide information to an audience or user. Oftenly these voice overs are used as a narration such as a kids programme like peppa pig if kids do not understand what is going on in the scene for example if the family are playing tennis and the child watching has not yet discovered the meaning of tennis then a voice over could be played informing the audience that the family are playing sports in the park. These voice overs are used to give meaning to the scene. For this one we hear a voice over talking about what Peppa is doing whilst in a race.
Scripted speech: Scripted speech is used when the speaker who will deliver the speech is not the person who wrote it. Actors often use a script when recording their voice in a film they are featuring in. This is used for dialogue because often when actors are told they have to have a scene where they need to remember a lot of lines then they would have scripts for these in order to remember what to say so they do not forget.
